Where your documents and photos are kept

Documents and Photos stay on this phone. daili never uploads them or shares them with your family; your phone's own backup can keep them.

Documents and Photos are your private drawer in daili. Everything you put there stays on this phone, and nowhere else.

1. Only you see them. Your family can't, and nothing is sent to daili's servers.
2. Your phone's backup can keep them. iPhone: they're in iCloud Backup and come back on a new iPhone set up from it (if iCloud has space). Android: documents are in the Google backup (up to 25 MB for daili); photos only move with a direct phone-to-phone transfer.
3. Signing out keeps them. Sign in again on this phone, and they're back.
4. Deleting your account removes them from this phone straight away.

daili keeps its own copy, so deleting a file here never deletes the original. Keep the original of anything important somewhere else too.

Note: A document or photo you attach to an event says Only on this device. Your family sees the event, but not the file.
