Where note pictures and recordings are kept

Keep note pictures and recordings on this phone for free, or in Daili cloud with Daili Plus.

1. Open Settings → Notes → Pictures and recordings.
2. Pick On this phone or Daili cloud.

On this phone is free and the default. Files are only on this phone, and in its backup on iPhone. Others see a small chip instead.

Daili cloud is part of Daili Plus: 5 GB per family. Everyone the note is shared with sees the files, on every device.

Sharing a note with phone-only files asks: Share text only or Move pictures to the cloud. A file waiting to upload shows a cloud badge. Tap it to try again.

When Plus ends, nothing is deleted: cloud files stay, new ones stay on the phone (Daili cloud (paused)).

A drawing can be edited only on the phone it was made on. A cloud drawing needs a connection.

Note: On Android, note pictures and recordings are not in the phone backup. Daili cloud keeps them safe.
